Luke McDonogh Named Male Multiclass Swimmer of the Meet at Australian All Schools Championships

TSS Aquatic swimmer Luke McDonogh has delivered an outstanding week representing Queensland at the 2026 School Sport Australia 13–19 Years Swimming Championships in Melbourne, culminating in his recognition as Male Multiclass Swimmer of the Meet.

Competing in the S14 classification, the 16-year-old produced an exceptionally consistent championship, winning six gold medals and two silver medals across 10 events, while recording personal best performances throughout the meet.

Luke claimed individual national school titles in the 200m Freestyle (2:15.96), 200m Individual Medley (2:38.51), 100m Butterfly (1:11.02), 100m Backstroke (1:12.86) and 50m Backstroke (34.59).

He added a sixth gold as a member of Queensland's winning 16–19 Years Mixed 4x50m Multiclass Freestyle Relay, combining with Sophie Walton, Jaden Proud and Lilly-Anne Gould.

Luke also collected silver medals in the 50m Freestyle (28.87) and 100m Freestyle (1:03.13), together with fourth-place finishes in the 50m Butterfly (32.23) and 50m Breaststroke (40.27).

A Championship of Personal Bests

Perhaps even more impressive than the medal tally was the consistency of Luke's improvement across the championships.

Luke recorded personal best performances across all 10 of his events, highlighted by significant improvements of 2.76 seconds in the 50m Breaststroke, 2.72 seconds in the 200m Freestyle and 2.20 seconds in the 100m Butterfly.
